Hi there! I’m Agata Melisa Margaretha. I graduated in diploma of hospitality in Food & Beverage Service and I’m 21 years old. I live in an amazing country, surrounded by beautiful beach and stunning reef and coral life. I thank God I can live here, in Indonesia. Since I was a kid, my father always shows about marine life and underwater world by TV show and national geographic, and since then I am totally in love with underwater world. Start 2003 there was a TV show called “Jejak Petualang”. That TV shows give a lot of treats of amazing dive site in Indonesia, culture and stunning marine life. I always spent my time to watch it every single day. I started to learn about coral, reef, fish ID, what species of this or that kind, where are the beautiful dive spots in Indonesia, how the coral may form, when the best time for diving, and all about marine life. Once I was asking my parents to get permit to have license in dive course, but they were too worried about sea and its dangerous, until in the end of 2011, they give me permission to have PADI Open Water Course. It’s took 9 years for obtain permission. Yea, it’s quite a long time.

was so excited and on my birthday, I tried the scuba dive in one of tourism attraction in Jakarta, SeaWorld, and I felt truly happy and I can’t express how happy I am. On December 2011, I took the Open Water Exam in Pramuka Island, Kepulauan Seribu, Indonesia. I was so excited and I can’t wait to see how beautiful underwater life. Everything runs smoothly, the current was good, the weather was good too and the visibility was good enough. My dive instructor shares a lot of things that really inspired me to be a PADI instructor.

The reason I want to change my life and involve in scuba diving or PADI Instructor, because mostly youth in Indonesia still less concern about marine life in Indonesia, while Indonesia has a very stunning and colorful natural underwater world who can make employment for dive instructor or share about how gorgeous underwater world which Indonesia has and attract them to come and see how beautiful reef and coral. I am also concern about saving the living of sea turtle and dugong and the coral triangle, which costly spread in Indonesia. Runaway to Bali and spend 7 months for having PADI instructor surely makes me stand out as a girl who still young and really concern about marine life. So please vote for me and let me spread to the world about how beautiful natural underwater Indonesia and be a PADI instructor!
